The very worst thing about this book is that they eliminate the first shoe shattering. That was one of those “oh no!” moments in the movie that really worries us as youngsters, but they didn’t include it in the book. :-(

The very best thing about this book is the simplicity of it. It’s enough to hold the attention of a two-year-old (or a 27-year-old – me) because the story is fun, but simple.

I read this to my niece twice last week before her naptime and she loved it! So did I, for that matter! She was even more excited that the copy I read to her was hers to keep. :-) What can I say? My girl takes after her Aunt Lishy in her love of books!!!

Anyways, I’ve read the Bible a few times, but I’m not one of those people who can randomly spout off verses or who remembers, “Oh, the book of xyz was all about random topic.”  That’s just not how my mind works.  I can process the information, I can retain the specifics that I fins interesting, but when it comes down to minute details, well…  The Bible certainly isn’t Harry Potter!  :-p

My brain is foggy, I’m usually cold in spite of whatever temperature the house is, and I can’t ever remember anything!  It doesn’t matter what time I wake up or if it’s from a nap or all night sleep.  It just sucks!

If I could sleep all day every day year round, I probably would just to bypass the waking up problems!

On the plus side, once I’m a little awake, I have a living alarm clock!  Lissie will pummel me awake with her overly-violent cuddles…

Yep, that’s my Lissie.  Beating the snot out of my bladder one morning…  If that’s not going to get me out of bed, I don’t know what will!

Anyways, my brain wasn’t functioning well enough to remember any of the topics I had for Wrathful Wednesday (or where the notebook I jotted down some ideas disappeared to) so I figured I would complain about this instead.

One day, I will conquer this issue of waking up!  Until then, that is the worst part of the day for me.  :-(

Oh, quick note!  I don’t know who follows my twitter or goodreads, but in case you didn’t notice it, I finished a couple books yesterday and one super early this morning.  Reviews will be coming soon.  ^_^  One of them will probably be this evening after work!

Me?  I’m neither.  I’m a Louisiana girl who speaks properly, without an accent (according to most people), and likes the food.  The music, though…  I love Cajun music!  And I love Cajun dancing!  Nothing beats it.  :-D  So, for all you uninitiated saps out there, enjoy!

Yes, you read that correctly.  The name of the song is “That Butt Thing” and it’s awesome!  There isn’t actually a video for this song, and if you were to go to Youtube the uploader says that the person singing is Wayne Toups.  She is wrong, but I was too lazy to upload the song myself.  I don’t know who the guy in the picture for the video is or who Trevor is, but the song plays well.

Well, what did you think?!  My favorite part is the accordion.  I love the sound of accordions!

The very worst thing about this book is that Seth still is dashing off into trouble. True, he thinks things through a little better this time, but he still isn’t listening to his elders… It’s a bit frustrating that one of the messages seems to be that “as long as you can justify it and it turns out okay, you can break the rules.”

The very best thing about this book is Gavin. This was completely unexpected for me, although Raxtus’s big part felt a little rushed.

Anyways, we have two weeks to look back on today.  I’m not going to post pictures of everything because several of the posts tend to fall together, but let’s start with this:

On Wrathful Wednesday there was no post.  In fact, my site forwarded you to SOPA Strike all day as I participated in the internet strike and blacked out my site!  I still have a small banner in the upper right corner protesting SOPA.  Although, from what I hear, I’ll soon be protesting ACTA…

Thursday was “Thoughtful Thursday” and I posted some thoughts about the strike, SOPA, PIPA, and Anonymous’s reaction to the MegaUpload issue.  I also raved about an app called AirDroid here:
